On July 4, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Kim Myung Soo visited the Chunmoo unit of the Capital Artillery Brigade to assess its operational readiness posture in preparation for potential enemy provocations and to encourage the troops.

During his visit, Chairman Kim received a briefing on enemy threats and the operational execution system. He instructed the unit to maintain a firepower readiness posture centered on rapid response capabilities, taking into account complex operational environments and ensuring coordination with higher-level units through detailed intelligence analysis.

Carefully examining the Chunmoo unit’s operational deployment site, he emphasized, “Firepower is the strength of combat power. This strength will deter enemy provocations and, in the event of provocation, achieve victory through precise strikes. Ensure thorough preparation in operations and training.”

The Chunmoo unit of the Capital Artillery Brigade is tasked with neutralizing enemy firepower threatening the Seoul metropolitan area through overwhelming and precise strikes. Chairman Kim used this visit to inspect the unit’s practical firepower combat readiness and to encourage the troops to work hard in the field.
